  • ...Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 11 PM this evening to 8 am MST Friday... The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow and freezing drizzle...which is in effect from 11 PM this evening to 8 am MST Friday.
  • Location...the Interstate 25 corridor and eastern Colorado plains.
  • Cause and timing...a winter storm will slowly develop over the area tonight and last through Friday morning. A period of freezing drizzle or mixed precipitation will begin late tonight...and then gradually change to snow from north to south Thursday morning into Thursday afternoon.
  • Snow/ice accumulation...a thin layer of ice up to a tenth of an inch is possible before precipitation changes to snow. Snow amounts will generally range from two to four inches...with local accumulations to six inches west of Interstate 25.
  • Impact...icy...snow covered roads will lead to hazardous Holiday travel conditions. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Winter weather conditions are expected due to a combination of snow...sleet...and ice.
