I joined KRDO NewsChannel 13 in October 2012 as Jon Karroll’s co-anchor on Good Morning Colorado and NewsChannel 13 at Noon. I’m still getting used to the change in altitude but am loving every minute of my time here in the Pikes Peak region.
I moved to the Springs from Knoxville, Tenn., where I spent six years reporting the news and anchoring 10News Weekend at WBIR. I began my broadcasting career in Lexington, Ky., at WKYT and went on to work for my hometown newspaper, The Newark Advocate. After that, I spent time working as a producer at KSDK in St. Louis and then returned to my on-air path as a reporter and weekend evening anchor at WMAZ in Macon, Ga.
My time in journalism has allowed me to meet some amazing people and to tell some incredible stories. The journey also has allowed me to travel to some amazing places, from the Arizona-Mexico border to the recovering Gulf Coast to Sweden.
While I grew up in the Buckeye state, I’m a proud Wildcat and graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. But I’m also a fan of the Tennessee Volunteers, which means I’m extra excited to be closer to one of UT’s most famous grads – Peyton Manning.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking and spending time with my tuxedo cat, Gabby.
