CROWLEY COUNTY - Residents in Olney Springs are still under a boil order Tuesday, after an E. coli contamination in the town's water.

People are being told, not to drink the water until crews fix a broken chlorinator, which is believe to have caused the problem.  But this isn't the first time residents have been in this position.  In fact, many of them weren't surprised to see another boil order.

"It tastes nasty, like when you put it in a glass it's all white and stuff...it's gross," said Kelly Aguirre.  Her parents live in Olney Springs and she says the water is not up to standards.

"My son and I, we never drink the water," agreed Dan Morin, a resident of Olney Springs.

Believe it or not, that's what a lot of people in Olney Springs say...even before the water tested positive for E. coli.

"That's part of living here I guess!" said Morin.

This latest boil order is the second in the past year in Olney Springs.  Last June, the town had a similar situation when they encountered problems with the levels of chlorine.  Shannan Ververs was forced to close her restaurant down when until it was fixed...luckily this year she was allowed by the State Health Dept. to stay open.

"I already knew the routine," joked Ververs.  "Been there, done that!" she added.

But staying open won't be easy, add to that the extra costs of buying bottled water, paper plates and plastic silverware.

"Were paying our water bills, were paying for water that were supposed to be able to use and we need to be able to use it," she said.

And even after the boil order is lifted, some residents say E. coli or not...they'll pass on drinking the water.

"We'll still be going to Loaf N' Jug or someplace else to get water," said Morin.

The boil order is set to last until July 29th, but the towns mayor, Betty Marshall says she hopes they will get the all clear sooner than that.

There have been no reported illnesses connected to the E. coli contamination.
