COLORADO SPRINGS - Governor Bill Ritter is touring southern Colorado today. He made a stop in Colorado Springs to do some handy work. He is helping one family make their home more energy efficient.
His weatherization program partners with local weatherization agencies throughout the state. They provide free weatherization services to qualified homeowners and renters. "We go to low income homes and we weatherize those homes to reduce the energy bills. Energy efficiency is one way to save energy and actually reduce greenhouse emissions," said Gov. Ritter.
The Governor's program partnered with the Energy Resource Center here in Colorado Springs to help this family. For more information on income qualifications or how to apply you can contact the Governor's Energy Office, Energy Resource Center or Colorado Springs Utilities.
