Las Animas County - State Troopers are investigating a deadly chard that happened in Las Animas County early Sunday morning.
Troopers say a pick up truck was traveling south on I-25 about 5 miles north of Trinidad when it spun into the median and rolled over one time thowing the driver, 51-year old Ricky Lee Lucero, from the truck. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The road was wet and icy in spots and it was foggy. It is suspected that driving too fast for conditions was responsible for the accident. The accident happened around 5:30 A.M.
