EL PASO COUNTY - Three ramps will be closed for several hours at the Interstate 25/Baptist Road Interchange for paving operations on Sunday, October 18.
Beginning at 7 a.m., the following ramps will be closed to traffic:
Off-ramp from southbound I-25 to Baptist Road
On-ramp from Baptist Road to southbound I-25
Off-ramp from northbound I-25 to Baptist Road
All ramps are scheduled to reopen by 2 p.m. Sunday.
DETOUR:
Southbound I-25 traffic can use the Monument Exit (#161), east on Highway 105 to Jackson Creek Parkway and south to Baptist.
Northbound I-25 traffic can use the Northgate Exit (#156A), east to Gleneagle Drive, and north on Gleneagle to Baptist Road.
The Baptist Road Rural Transportation Authority is reconstructing the Interstate 25/Baptist Road Interchange, with oversite from the Colorado Department of Transportation. Project completion is anticipated in early 2010.
Motorists are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.
