RAISIN TOWNSHIP, MI - A plane crash in Michigan has claimed the lives of a well-known couple from Pueblo.
Authorities say Eric and Deb Beaudry were killed when their plane crashed in a field. Witnesses say their Commander 114B plane may have had a problem with one of the wings; possibly collapsing in mid air. The Beautry's were flying from Pennsylvania to Adrian, Michigan. The crash happened just miles short of their destination. Sunday, the NTSB was still investigating the official cause of the crash.
The couple was traveling to see one of their sons who is a wrestler at the University of Michigan. They were planning on attending the Michigan vs Penn State football game on Saturday. Eric and Deb had three children, Dan, Erica and Mark. All of them attended high school in Pueblo.
The Beaudry's are the owners of the Pueblo Athletic Club. On Sunday, the club released this statement to it's members.
"We would like to send out our heartfelt thanks to everyone for your amazing support and well wishes through this difficult time. We feel the best way to honor Deb and Eric's memory is to continue the operation of PAC in the same hardworking manner that our members have come to expect. Deb and Eric dedicated their life to this club, and you can be rest assured we will continue on with their legacy."
