COLORADO CITY - Pueblo County held it's 5th H1N1 flu shot clinic Saturday. The health department had about 1,500 vaccines available for people who fall under the "priority group" for the vaccine
The clinic was held at Craver Middle School in Colorado City. The same school that was closed down for a week due to a flu outbreak last month. Pueblo County health officials say the supply of vaccines has been steady and they haven't ran out at a mass clinic yet, but they still don't have enough of it to lift the restrictions on who can receive the shot under the "priority group".
"When we meet coming back from the Holiday, we hope to be able to say, have we done what we needed to do to service the those high risk groups and if we feel like we've put out enough vaccine into the community, and enough of the individuals come to our clinics then we hope to really loosen up those guidelines," said Jody Carrillo, the Director of Disease Prevention for the Pueblo County Health Department.
