DENVER (AP) - The Denver Rescue Mission plans to serve meals to 500 people at their annual Thanksgiving banquet.
Gov. Bill Ritter plans to join more than 50 volunteers serving up the Southern-style feast on Wednesday.
All the men, women and children attending will also get hats, gloves and scarves a chance to call families courtesy of Qwest.
On Thursday Ritter, his family and volunteers from the Sheraton Hotel and Westin Tabor Center will help serve 300 Thanksgiving dinners at the Samaritan House.
