COLORADO SPRINGS – A home in the 1000 block of Wynkoop Drive was shot at Wednesday night. The homeowner thinks the bullet was fired from a car driving on Galley Road.
The bullet pierced through Jay Fisher and his wife's bedroom wall. It hit just a few feet above their bed.
"We kind of looked at each other and said we could be dead," said Fisher.
Fisher says he does not know who would want to hurt him or his wife. His wife has lived in their home for more than 10 years and has never had any trouble.
Police do not have any suspects at this time, and there were no witnesses to give a vehicle description. Fisher and his wife do not plan to move. He says he's grateful nobody was hurt.
"You could be gone tomorrow, so you need to be thankful everyday," Fisher said. "Not just at Thanksgiving."
A neighbor across the street says her home was also shot at. If you have any information that could help police, call 444-7000 or 634-STOP.
