COLORADO SPRINGS - Fire and utility crews from Colorado Springs were called to 535 West Garden of the Gods for a reported natural gas line break Friday afternoon. The call came in early Friday afternoon from a private contractor that hit the line.
The near-by Village Inn Restaurant was evacuated as a precaution and east-bound lanes of Garden of the Gods were closed for utility crews to reach the line.
Colorado Springs Utilities tells us that wen its crews reached the service line they discovered that it had not been broken.
No one was injured.
