COLORADO SPRINGS - The Colorado Springs Major Accidents Unit was on the scene investigating a rollover on the city's East side Saturday morning.
Police say a 1984 Oldsmobile Sedan struck a curb line of Constitution Avenue and Avondale causing the Sedan to rollover several times. The Sedan finally came to rest in the front yard of 4818 Constitution Avenue.
The driver, 30-year-old Clarence Hughes, was severely injured and is currently in critical condition at a local hospital.
The accident is still under investigation. Police say excessive speed and alcohol are believed to be causes for the crash.
