COLORADO SPRINGS - U.S. Senator Ken Salazar hosted an Early Vote Walk in Colorado Springs Monday.
Hundreds of Colorado College students marched from campus to Centennial Hall casting their vote for the next Presidential candidate.
It's part of a five day statewide Early Vote tour with former Colorado Govenrnor Roy Romer, U.S. Senate Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin, Colorado Agriculture Commissioner John Stulp and others.
Senator Salazar spoke to college students and community members about why voting in this historic election is so important in order to bring the change we need.
"Voting is the true exercise of democracy whether you're an Obama supporter or happen to be in the other campaign. The fact that you are out there supporting, is the greatest thing you can do to maintain the freedom of America," stated Salazar.
Senator Salazar also visited Pueblo, San Luis Valley, Sawatch, Alamosa and Gunnison Monday.
