COLORADO SPRINGS - Police are investigating why a man died after being hit by a car Friday night.
The 31-year-old man was hit around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Hancock Expressway and Delta Drive.
Witnesses say the driver of the Jeep Cherokee was traveling eastbound on Hancock. They say the driver was not speeding and had the green light at the time of the accident.
When paramedics arrived the man was alive and was taken to Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. He died a few hours later.
The names of the victim and driver have not been released as the investigation into the crash continues.
