Michelle San Miguel reports from KRDO NewsChannel 13’s Pueblo Chieftain newsroom. She’s also an anchor for NotiAlertas Telemundo.
Michelle joined KRDO in January of 2013. Since then, she covered a historic recall election as well as devastating wildfires and floods in Southern Colorado.
Before moving to Colorado, Michelle spent nearly two years in Bismarck, ND working as a reporter and weekend anchor. While there, she produced and anchored a documentary on an oil boom in western North Dakota. She also hosted a live, one-hour show on a fundraiser for children with cerebral palsy. Michelle was recognized by the North Dakota Broadcasters Association for best in-depth reporting on a television story for a report she did on the Missouri River flood in 2011.
Michelle is a proud graduate of Syracuse University. She double majored in broadcast journalism and international relations. During her time in Syracuse, she reported for the university’s ABC News on Campus bureau. Some of her work appeared on ABC’s World News and the World News webcast. She also served as an anchor, executive producer and director for CitrusTV Noticias, a Spanish-language newscast.
Michelle is from Miami, FL and loves spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running and exploring the hiking trails in the Pikes Peak region.
