Local Forecast

Monday morning forecast - 05/22/17

Today: Highs will reach the 60s and 70s with mostly cloudy skies. A few breaks of sunshine are possible. There will be scattered storms this afternoon. A few storms could even become severe in the far southeastern plains, where gusts to 60 mph and hail of 1" in diameter could develop. We'll track that for you!

Tonight: A cold front drops from north to south tonight, and this will kick up the winds. Beyond that, we're watching the chance for rain converting to snow in the higher elevations of the Pikes Peak region. Little to no accumulations or impacts are expected. Lows drop to the 30s and 40s under mostly cloudy skies.

Extended: More isolated storms are expected Tuesday; however, there looks to be drier conditions on Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure builds. Our following chances for storms crop right back up Thursday. Daily storm chances remain in the forecast through the weekend. Temperatures cool Tuesday to the 60s for most, but we rise to the 70s and 80s by Thursday.
