Help to wade through the healthcare maze

Help is a phone call away

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - Isabel Guevara is always busy on the computer as  the enrollment services trainer at Peak Vista Community Health Centers.  She talked to me about the state's healthcare exchange as part of President Obama's affordable healthcare act.  This is a state run healthcare buffet of insurance plans.  Unlike the federal version, Colorado's exchange did have some early hiccups when it got started. Guevara says those have been ironed out.

I took a tour of the site and it can be a little daunting to sift through all the information unless you know healthcare plans like the back of your hand.  Guevara tells me that she and her group at Peak Vista are happy to be your guides on the Colorado website to get the best insurance deal and know how to make sure you get a low cost plan designed for you,  "It feels good to answers some of those questions and put people at ease about the new stuff that's happening."

I've put a link to Peak Vista under the hot button section on Big Stories on the main page.  You can call them to set up an appointment for help with the Colorado Health Insurance Exchange.
