Trader Joe's issues recall for hummus products in multiple states, including Colorado

DENVER, Colo. - Trader Joe's has issued a recall for two hummus products due to possible listeria contamination.

The company is voluntarily recalling its Mediterranean Hummus and White Bean and Basil Hummus in 30 states, including Colorado.

The products have use by dates up to Dec. 15, 2016, and have the plant identification code "C."

Products with the plant identification code "J" are not affected by the recall. The Mediterranean Hummus Snack Pack with Pita Chips is also not part of the recall.

Potentially affected containers of both products have been removed from shelves and destroyed at Trader Joe's locations. Any customers who have purchased the products should either throw them out, or return them to the store for a full refund.
