More Americans turning to online dating

COLORADO SPRINGS - More and more people have been turning to online dating sites and dating apps to try and meet that special someone, saying that it's getting harder to actually meet a good match.

In 2017, more people than ever before are turning to online dating.

According to eHarmony.com, 40 million Americans use some kind of online dating. That number is also likely to continue growing.

Dating apps like Tinder and Bumble are also becoming more and more popular for the younger generation.

The method does seem to be working for a large group of people.

According to national statistics, 20 percent of all Americans who are married, or are in a committed relationship, met online.

While meeting online continues to produce a lot of relationships, the most popular way to meet someone is still through friends.
