Humane Society of Fremont Co. offering low pet adoption fees as overcrowding continues

FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. - The Humane Society of Fremont County has its adoption fees at its lowest right now to try and deal with the overcrowding happening at its facility.

According to the shelter, June, July, and August are the main months that people surrender their pets, and it refuses to kill any animals to make room for more rescues.

Right now, adoption fees are $20 for dogs and $10 for cats.  This includes spay and neuter, microchip with a lifetime enrollment, and all age appropriate vaccinations except rabies.

The Humane Society stated in a post that they literally don't have a single open kennel for dogs.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting, you can contact the Humane Society of Fremont County at (719) 275-0663 or
