COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo -

161 cats are in the process of being rescued from a southwest side Colorado Springs home.  Tuesday afternoon, a small group of three was allowed to go inside the home of a woman who had been hoarding the cats.

Georgia Cameron with the Life Is Better Rescue is spearheading the team and negotiated to get the cats safely out of the home.

Cameron talked to me about the woman who is allowing the group to go inside, "I don't think she ever set out to get this many animals and speaking with her, she truly cares about these cats.  It's a very difficult decision for her."

About a hundred of these cats will go into rescues in the Denver area to be adopted out.  The remaining 60 or so will be adopted out from three different rescues in the Colorado Springs area.
