Two suspects are in custody for at least one home burglary during the Waldo Canyon fire.

Police say 31-year-old David Town and 19-year-old Alexis Mendez are in custody.

As part of an ongoing investigation, officers executed a search warrant at the Casa Del Rey Apartments on Nov. 27.

Police say property from a single burglary was recovered.

Officers then interviewed Mendez, who was already in jail on unrelated charges.

Police say Mendez admitted his involvement in a single burglary.

Mendez appeared in court on Thursday and was charged with 2nd degree burglary.  His bond was set at $10,000.

Both suspects are persons of interest in other evacuation area burglaries but police say right now the evidence has only linked them to a single burglary.
