COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The first ad from Focus on The Family is scheduled to run during this weekend's Denver Broncos preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Colorado Springs-based family counseling ministry attracted attention by running an ad during the Super Bowl featuring Tim Tebow. These new ads will not feature Tebow."The funding model is again people are giving specifically to this project," said Gary Schneeberger, with Focus On The Family. "We believe it's a wise allocation of resources, because it's a brand awareness campaign," said Schneeberger.Schneeberger wouldn't tell Newschannel 13 the cost of the new ads, or reveal specifics about the campaign. However, the question remains. How can Focus on The Family purchase ads, when it recently laid off hundreds of employees."All the money for it is being raised specifically for that project by folks who believe in the project," said Schneeberger. The ads will make statements on social values and will touch on other issues like promoting adoption.
