COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region is set to receive 20 dogs from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley that will be available for adoption on Thursday morning.The local Humane Society in Boulder needs to make room for resident pets that have been displaced due to the evacuations. Therefore, the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, here in Colorado Springs, will take 20 of their dogs and make them available for adoption when the shelter opens on Thursday morning, along with the over 60 dogs already available.HSPPR has a wide selection of wonderful dogs and by adopting this week you will be taking part in a special effort to help our neighbors up north in Boulder County."The Humane Society of Boulder Valley has provided relief to HSPPR in many situations and this is our chance to reciprocate, as well as help Boulder County residents," stated President & CEO Jan McHugh-Smith. "We are asking El Paso County residents to take part here in Colorado Springs by considering the adoption of a wonderful dog in need.
