Six juveniles are facing arson charges after they were caught setting several small fires.
Police responded to a report that six boys were starting fires in Sagebrush Park Sunday afternoon. The fire department also responded and found the six boys who matched the description a witness had given.
The boys ran away when they saw the fire department. Police then found them near Sand Creek Elementary School.
Authorities say the six boys set small fires in the creek bed just east of the park. They used a large lighter and an aerosol can.
All six were charged with 4th Degree Arson and were referred to CSFD's Firefactor program.
Police and the fire department would like to remind citizens that fire danger remains high due to windy and dry conditions.
