Affidavit: Ft. Carson soldier admits to luring girls
Justin Nooner arrested near Widefield elementary school
According to his arrest affidavit, a Ft. Carson soldier accused of child enticement waived his Miranda rights and admitted to trying to lure two Widefield elementary school girls.
Spc. Justin Ray Nooner, 27, was arrested near District 3's King Elementary School Thursday morning.
Deputies had been staking out the area since April 10, when the two girls reported that a man approached them in his car and asked them to give him oral sex.
The girls were able to provide Nooner's description and his partial license plate number. A deputy spotted Nooner in his car Thursday at about 7:40 a.m. and approached him.
The deputy reported that Nooner's pants zipper was down.
"Upon waiving his Miranda Rights, Mr. Nooner admitted to driving by (the girls) and making a masturbating motion," reads the affidavit. "He also stated he drove past them a second time and asked them if they would perform oral sex on him."
Nooner told the deputy he chose to contact the girls because they were alone and said he thought they were teenagers.
"It's awful the girls had to go through such a terrible experience," said D-3 spokesman James Drew. "However, they did everything right. Couldn't be more proud of those sisters. They kept their cool, they did not engage the person that was talking to them, they went straight home and told an adult."
County records show Nooner owns a home on Chaco Circle in Colorado Springs, near Chelton and Verde. It's very close to several schools, but nearly ten miles from King Elementary.
No one answered the door at his home, but neighbors told KRDO Newschannel 13 that Nooner lived there and had children of his own.
"That's terrible," said Martin Tapia. "There's a bunch of kids in this neighborhood. We get along with all of them. They all play with (my kids)."
Nooner has bailed out of jail on $3,000 bond. Ft. Carson says he's been with the Army for more than six years and was part of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.
