PITKIN COUNTY - Two backcountry skiers are safe Monday, after spending two cold, wet nights in a snow cave near Aspen.
The couple is from Carbondale.
The couple was planning to meet four friends at a mountain hut, but got lost in blizzard conditions Friday.
Searchers used snowmobiles to look for the skiers, but were unable to find them on Saturday.
The skiers eventually made it to the hut on Sunday and were reunited with their group.
