An investigation is underway after a fisherman finds a dead body near the Roaring Fork River.
The Pitkin County Sheriff's Office says they found the body near Wilton Jaffe Park at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The area was found in a heavily wooded spot about 25 feet from the river.
Deputies turned the body over to the Pitkin County Coroner's Office. The remains appear to be a white male 50-60 years old. Officials haven't identified him and are waiting for the coroner to determine cause of death.
