Fountain Police search for 7-Eleven Robber

FOUNTAIN, Colo. -

Fountain police are searching for an armed man who robbed a 7-Eleven. 

The store at 601 South Santa Fe Avenue was robbed just before 2 a.m. Friday, according to police.

Investigators said a black man wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt entered the store, threatened the clerk with a gun and demanded cash.

Police said he got away with an undisclosed amount of money, fleeing south on foot. Officials said the clerk was not hurt during the robbery.

The suspect was described as about 5 feet to 5 feet 3 inches tall, with a thin build, according to police.
