Ft. Carson soldier arrested for alleged sex crimes in Alabama
El Paso County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a Ft. Carson soldier for alleged sex crimes in Alabama.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Aaron Lucas was turned over to deputies by the Ft. Carson Provost Marshal's Office, Wednesday.
Detectives from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office were notified by the Madison Police Department in Madison, Alabama, that an arrest warrant had been obtained for Lucas on a Madison case from 2002, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
The charges on the warrant include "Enticing a Child" and "Sexual Child Abuse of a Child Less Than 12 Years of Age," according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office says it coordinated with authorities on Fort Carson to have Lucas located and taken into custody.
Lucas has been booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on no bond as a fugitive from justice.
Lucas is scheduled for advisement from the court on January 3, 2013.
Lucas had been arrested on October 23, 2012 for connection to an El Paso County kidnapping case and separate Enticement of a Child case, each from 2012, as well as for his connection to similar cases from other area jurisdictions, according to the sheriff's office.
No details of the Madison, Alabama case were released by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
