Grass fire extinguished west of Broadmoor

Less than a tenth of an acre burned

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

A car went over a cliff on Old Stage Road, catching fire and starting a grass fire west of The Broadmoor.  The fire was quickly extinguished and burned less than one tenth of an acre.

Colorado Springs Fire Department crews responded to the scene. Old Stage Road was shut down in the area.

Fire crews say a car went off the side of the road and was found in flames.  No one was found inside the car or in the area.
