An El Paso County jury has found former Colorado Springs Police Officer Joshua Carrier guilty of 21 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Carrier faced over 200 counts of sex assault on a child and possession of child pornography.

The convictions stem from the possession of child pornography.

The jury either found Carrier not guilty, or could not reach verdicts, on the remaining counts that include the alleged sex assault of students who were on the wrestling team at Mann Middle School.

Carrier was accused of molesting wrestling students at Mann Middle School as a volunteer coach while he worked at the school as the resource officer with the Colorado Springs Police Department.

After the proceedings Carrier was taken from the courtroom in handcuffs. He had been free on bond during the trial.

Our Lindsay Watts has tweeted from the courtroom that at least one juror is crying and that during a polling of the jury there was a discrepancy and that had to be sorted out in the deliberation room. The end result of that was that the jury could not reach a verdict on that count,
