Man arrested for DUI, having loaded gun in car

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

Police arrested a man after a traffic stop for driving under the influence and having a loaded gun in the car.

Trent Howard, 23, was pulled over for misuse of license plates around 2:30 Saturday morning near Platte Ave. and Union Blvd. Police found out Howard was drunk, had a revoked driver's license and had no proof of insurance for the car.

Police also found a loaded handgun in the car.

The car was impounded.

Howard was taken to CJC and is charged with Prohibited Use of Weapons, DUI and other traffic charges.
