Colorado Springs police arrested a man Sunday after a fight with his girlfriend.

James Lee, 25, is accused of placing a handgun at his girlfirend's head at a home on Solar Ridge Drive.

Police said Lee was attempting to leave when they arrived and officers discovered the handgun in his car.

Lee's 20-year-old girlfriend, was taken to Memorial Hospital where she was treated for body lacerations and contusions and injuries related to strangulation.

Lee was arrested and now faces attempted murder charges.
