A man was shot outside a Pueblo pool hall early Thursday morning.

It happened just before 2 a.m. outside Classic Q's on South Prairie Avenue, according to Pueblo police.

The 27-year-old victim was shot in the abdomen. He was transported to St. Mary-Corwin Hospital where he had surgery.

Police said his injury was not life-threatening, and he was listed in stable condition. Officers are staying with the victim because he had a warrant out for his arrest.

They said he will be booked into the Pueblo County Jail once he is released from the hospital.

Meanwhile, officers impounded a suspect vehicle and are following leads.
