Pueblo police arrested two men after the death of 64-year-old Michael Richards.

Police said they were called to an area just east of the shooting range and close to the Fountain Creek Friday morning to check on a report of a dead body.

When police arrived, they found a body, later identified at Richards.

Police said this is an area commonly used by transients to camp or reside.

Police arrested 54-year-old Richard Sheppard and 55-year-old Hugh Smith in connection with the death. Police said both of the men are local and were living in the area.
