Pueblo middle-schooler arrested for bomb threat
A student who attends Roncalli middle school in Pueblo was arrested and charged Wednesday for writing a note that there was a bomb in the school, the Pueblo Police Department announced Friday.
School resource officer Ray Alvarez said that around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, a student came into the office and said he found a note. The note made reference to a bomb in the school.
After an investigation and talks with other students it was quickly determined that the student who turned in the note was the same student who wrote it.
The 13-year-old student later admitted to writing the note. The student added that he did not have a problem with anyone but is believed to have written it for attention, police said.
The boy was screened and booked into PYC with charges of False Report of Explosives, Weapons, or Harmful Substances, which is a Class 6 Felony
