The following roads are closed as of 6:45 p.m. Wednesday due to adverse conditions:
- I-70 closed from Limon to Kansas border.
- SH 59 closed between Seibert and Kit Carson
- US 287 Northbound from Eads (Milemarker 113-113)
CDOT crews statewide remain on full snow shift across the entire state. Motorists should expect a combination of wet/slushy conditions and icy/snow packed conditions. Crews will stay on snow shift through at least tomorrow morning, specifically focusing on the icy spots. Motorists should still allow for extra travel time.
Below is a update on specific regions of the state from CDOT:
Front Range (I-25 border to border): Mainly seeing wet and slushy roads with some snow pack and icy spots. As temperatures drop, icy spots are expected especially on bridges, overpasses and ramps.
I-70 Corridor and high country: A slight improvement, but motorists should still expect icy and snow packed conditions.
Eastern Plains: This is the trouble spot in the state right now due to high winds, blowing snow and poor visibility.
