Teller Co., Colo. -

An accident involving one vehicle sent four children to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Teller County Rd 111 at mile marker 1.

28-year-old Joshua Robillard was driving a 2001 Ford pick-up truck and had four children as passengers. They were riding in the bed of the pick-up, according to state patrol.

The children, a 6-year-old boy, a 9-year-old boy, a 10-year-old girl, and a 12-year-old boy were flown by helicopter to Memorial Hospital. Their conditions range from minor to serious.

Robillard was transported to Memorial by a private vehicle with minor injuries. He was later arrested for an unrelated warrant.

The cause of the accident has not been released, but alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors.
