For the third time since Halloween weekend, a Colorado Springs convenience store was robbed by a man wielding a hammer.
Police tell us a man armed with a knife and hammer walked into the Diamond Shamrock store near Palmer Park Boulevard and North Powers Boulevard shortly before 3 a.m. Friday.
He demanded cigarettes and money from the register.
Once he got what he wanted, he fled on foot.
The man was wearing a dark-colored ski mask, but the clerk could tell he was a white man in his 20s.
Police said this robber is probably the same man who robbed the store on Oct. 28 and Nov 4 in the same manner.
Officers ask that if you have any information, call Springs police at 444-7000. You can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
