A photo of NY Jets quarterback Tim Tebow is making headlines for the second time. An old photo of Tebow wearing only the bottom portion of his football uniform while striking a pose much like that of Jesus on the cross -- arms outstretched, legs crossed -- has resurfaced in the September issue of GQ magazine.
Tebow posed for the shot when he was winning national championships with Florida, and GQ ran it at that time. Now the magazine has digitally altered it to remove any references to the Gators and is running it with a Tebow-related article as part of its NFL preview issue.
Critics are calling Tebow a narcissist, a fraud and "sexy Jesus."
To be fair to Tebow, he appears to have had very little to do with the current article, which is a commentary by self-proclaimed Jets fan and Tebow hater Devin Gordon. The only quotes from Tebow himself come at the very end and are from a session with reporters following a mini-camp practice in June.
