PUEBLO, Colo. -

Pueblo Blvd is closed from Hollywood to Vinewood on Tuesday.

Around 9:30 a.m., a tractor-trailer rig rolled over on Pueblo Blvd. The rig was hauling a section of wind turbine tower, weighing about 68 tons, westbound on Pueblo Blvd.

Police say that one end of the tower section hit the pavement, causing it to roll with the trailer. A Vestas official tells police that it appears the tractor-trailer driver didn't secure two cables on the rear part of the trailer. He said those cables are designed to keep the load secure if it begins to move.

There are no injuries and only damage to the roadway and trailer. Pueblo Police, Pueblo Fire, Vestas personnel, and CDOT personnel are on scene.

The closure is likely to last for several hours while cranes lift the tower section so it can be moved to another trailer.
