Two men accused of murder in separate Colorado Springs homicides enter guilty pleas and face decades in prison.
Donny Anthony Lopez agreed to a plea deal Friday morning in El Paso County Court.
Lopez pleaded guilty to second degree murder and aggravated robbery and agreed to a sentencing range between 48 and 64 years in prison. The judge will decide during sentencing on August 27.
Lopez shot and killed 37-year old Scott Campbell on September 26th of 2011 outside the Bonita Village Apartments in Colorado Springs.
In a separate case Rodrigo Rubio pleaded guilty to second degree murder and distribution of a controlled substance. He agreed to a stipulated sentence of 40 years in prison.
Rubio shot Matthew Moore in June of 2011 outside the Calvary Baptist Church on south Carona Avenue in Colorado Springs.
Moore was able to knock on the doors of several homes on Warren Avenue seeking help, but died before help arrived.
Rubio will be sentenced on October 2nd.
