(CNN)--The murder trial of Gu Kailai, the wife of a recently deposed top official in the Chinese Communist Party, was adjourned Thursday without the announcement of a verdict, a court official said. Gu and the other defendant in the trial, Zhang Xiaojun, didn't contest the substance of the charges made against them by the prosecution, said Tang Yigan, deputy head of the Hefei Intermediate People's Court.
