COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for high fire danger for most of southern Colorado.

The warning, which includes Colorado Springs and Pueblo, began at noon on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, and is scheduled to expire at 8 p.m.

A Red Flag Warning means that warm temperatures, strong winds, and low humidity are combining to create extremely high fire danger. Wildfires can start easily and spread rapidly under such conditions.
