COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. - Through his struggle with addiction Shannon Dunnan lost his house, his kids and all hope.
But if you met this man today, you would never know of all the pain, and heartache he's been through.
It's all thanks to the Springs Rescue Mission and its New Life program. Shannon graduated in a year.
Shannon has a college degree, a home, and most importantly his family. He's still at the Springs Rescue Mission, but this time he's there for a different reason. Now he's sitting on the other side of the desk, teaching the very program that changed his life.
The Springs Rescue Mission is completely funded by the community. It has served over 40,000 neighbors in need and saved the city $2.6 million in public services.
