Man drowns in Pueblo lake

PUEBLO, Colo. - A 50-year-old man drowned in Runyon Lake Wednesday (7/2/14).

The man's body was pulled from the water ten feet from the shore.

Police spoke with a witness who saw the man jump into the lake and never resurface around 3:15 p.m.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office dive team responded to the lake to search for the body. His body was recovered around 5 p.m.

Police told KRDO NewsChannel 13 the victim did not know how to swim. Foul play is not suspected in this case.
