DENVER - A new report by businessinsider.com finds that Colorado has the strongest economy of all 50 states.

The Business Insider study says that Colorado topped the list because it has a diversified economy with a strong aerospace sector and plenty of federal investment.
Here are a few other highlights from the report that made Colorado stand out:
- 1.2% growth in working age population between 2012 and 2013.
- 2.8% growth in non-farm payroll jobs.
- 66,300 jobs added between June 2013 and June 2014.
- 3.8% year to year increase in GDP in 2013.
California, Texas, Arizona and Utah round out the top five on Business Insider's list.
Alaska came in dead last on the list, followed by Vermont, New Mexico, Maine, and New Hampshire.
