Suspect arrested in deadly overnight shooting

PUEBLO, Colo. - Pueblo Police say their suspect in a deadly overnight shooting was arrested following a brief standoff Tuesday morning (4/8/14).

The shooting happened at around 1:50 am. in the 2100 block of Cedar Street, just west of I-25.

Police said when officers arrived; they found a 25-year-old man dead in the front yard of the home.

Officers said there was a fight in front of the home involving several people before gunshots were heard.

Police say the suspect in the shooting was arrested following a standoff near Vinewood Lane and O'Neal Avenue later Tuesday morning.
