Two injured in Fort Carson plane crash

FORT CARSON, Colo. - Two people were sent to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs after a plane crashed at Butts Army Airfield on Fort Carson.

The accident happened at around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014.

Fort Carson Public Affairs says that the DA20 aircraft was contracted for Air Force Flight screening and was on a routine training mission out of Pueblo when it went down.

There were two people on the plane. The extent of their injuries is unknown. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
